Dear Colleagues,
2023 marks 20 years since the founding of the World Nuclear University. To celebrate this milestone, the World Nuclear University will be throwing an anniversary event as a way to thank our key supporters, and bring together alumni, speakers, mentors and invited leaders of our mentored programmes (SI, RT, SLA) from across the years. Registration is required in advance.
We are always looking to reacquaint ourselves with former supporters or Alumni, through engagement activities and outreach, so if you have been involved in WNU programmes and wish to join us, please reach out and let us know your involvement!
Location: 30 St. Mary Axe (The Gherkin)
Date: 5th September 2023
Time: 19:30 - 23:00
Dress code: Formal / elegant dress.
Why join us?
Network with Alumni from across cohorts.
Develop relationships with experts and leaders from all areas of the nuclear industry.
Enjoy canapes and unlimited (soft and alcoholic) beverages throughout the night.

Once you have registered with us using the link, you will be sent a formal invitation via email. This invitation will include more details about the event, including the start/end time. This personalised invitation will need to be shown at the door upon entry (printed or electronic copy acceptable).
Please note that due to venue security rules, we are unable to add any last-minute names to the guestlist. Any unknown guests will be refused entry.
Upon arrival:
Ask reception for the World Nuclear University event at Searcy’s and they will point you to security.
Security will check your ID and bags upon entry and will direct you to the elevators.
Take the elevators to the 39 floor and join the event!
Important information:
There is a taxi rank located right outside the entrance of the venue.
The closest tube stations to the Gherkin are as follows: Bank, Monument, Aldgate, Aldgate East and Liverpool Street.

Important information:
- Please bring a form of identification with you to the event as per the venues request. This form of ID can also be your bank/credit card (with your name on it).
- Please complete the form so we can record your dietary requirements and pass the information on to security for guest list/fire evacuation purposes.
- Please do not bring plus ones/ extra guests as they will not be on the guest list and therefore will not be allowed into the venue.
- We will be capping the event as there are limited spaces available. Please be mindful of this when registering yourself.
- Once registered we will assume that you are coming.
- Pulling out last minute will prevent somebody else from attending the event as we cannot fill the space on very short notice.
- If you can no longer make it please let the WNU team know as soon as possible as invitations will go out on a first come first serve basis.
