To meet the needs of nuclear professionals within this expanding nuclear industry, the WNU can draw on its network of international organizations, academia and industry to provide a range of educational and training programmes around the world.
Stimulating learning experience
The internationally recognized programmes are designed to provide nuclear professionals with essential leadership and life skills. The WNU Summer Institute won the Nuclear Engineering International magazine’s Nuclear Training Awards 2013 prize for the best training course shorter than one year.
Flexible and up-to-date content
The programme committee members, mentors and lecturers are well-known nuclear experts and the content evolves as the competency needs evolve.
Modern educational methodologies
Technical visits, workshops, simulations, gamifications and videos are among the training features. WNU offers a multicultural and dynamic learning environment to prepare professionals for the worldwide nuclear industry.
Both in and outside the learning environment, mentors and coordinators create opportunities to develop a range of personal and professional skills.
Gateway to global networking
More than 4000 WNU alumni keep in contact via social media and alumni events.
A 2014 survey among the WNU Summer Institute Alumni (almost 200 respondents) showed that 95% noticed an improved understanding of nuclear topics which they incorporated into their day-to-day work. Some 68% were promoted after the course and 84% said the programme significantly contributed to their professional advancement.

Because WNU is a not-for-profit organization, programme fees are kept to a minimum.
