2009 WNU Summer Institute

In 2009 the World Nuclear University (WNU) has conducted its fifth annual Summer Institute, designed to develop and inspire future international leaders in the realm of nuclear science and technology.
Organized by the WNU Coordinating Centre with support from the World Nuclear Association, International Atomic Energy Agency, Nuclear Energy Agency, and World Association of Nuclear Operators, the 2009 Summer Institute was hosted at Christ Church, University of Oxford.
The WNU Summer Institute offers an intensive six-week programme of lectures, tutorials, field trips to nuclear and industrial facilities, and team projects led by some of the world’s foremost authorities on the global environment and sustainable development, nuclear-related technology innovation, nuclear diplomacy, and nuclear industry operations.
The program will include technical tours of nuclear and industrial facilities principally in France, as well as cultural and social events.
