2011 Summer Institute

The WNU Summer Institute is a six week leadership development programme held annually at Christ Church, Oxford, UK. The programme is designed to educate the attendees across the full spectrum of nuclear energy issues. The programme includes instruction from some of the world's foremost leaders in science, engineering and the global environment, plus team-building exercises, and a one week technical tour to a variety of nuclear and other facilities. The programme is structured to enable participants (‘Fellows’) to become part of an expanding global network of future leaders in the nuclear profession.

Each WNU Summer Institute is attended by around 100 young Fellows from around the world, selected from promising nuclear professionals who have demonstrated strong leadership potential. The average age of Fellows over the years has been around 30, and the course is aimed at nuclear professionals between 27 and 37.
